A lime-wash plaster feature wall for a west-facing living room that gets strong afternoon light.
The client's living room faces west and gets harsh, flat afternoon sun that had been washing the space out for years. A flat paint finish was making the problem worse, not hiding it.
We proposed a hand-troweled lime-wash plaster in a warm ochre pigment — a finish with enough texture to catch and break up direct light rather than reflect it evenly. Applied over three days, sealed on the fourth.
